Abstract: Every day, we communicate with our colleagues in meetings, seminars, and research collaborations using emails or any other formal means. In Japan, we need to follow a set of rules while sending emails to our colleagues. For example, the components of an email “Subject,” “Salutation,” “Opening remarks,” “Body,” and “Closing remarks” in Japan are somewhat different from what we often see in Western-style correspondence. The talk will help a wide range of Bangladeshis working in Japan, sorting out the right phrases to make the intended correspondence more effective. Irrespective of your Japanese proficiency levels, you can enjoy this talk.
